Things to Know Before Buying Best Room Air Cooler ?

More and more people are choosing to use evaporative coolers that can give traditional AC an environmentally friendly and cost-effective. But, before you buy the best room air cooler, there are some things you need to know.

  • Thickness and quantity of the cooling pad

Cooling pads directly affect an air cooler’s cooling. They absorb water and allow cooling air to flow through them. The thicker the cooling pad, the greater the cooling. Cooling pads are usually made of material from aspen and cellulose. Both have their benefits and inconveniences.

Aspen pads are made of synthetic fiber and wood shavings. These are cheaper, require a high level of maintenance and have a shorter life.

Often considered as honeycomb pads are cellulose cooling pads, mostly because they look like a rabbit. Similar to aspen leaves, they are thinner and have low maintenance and a longer life. They cost a little bit more, but they are also known to be more successful

You also need to test the quantity of the cooling pad for each cooler. Some Air cooler fans have only one cooling pad, while others have three or four cooling pads. Once you have more pieces of cooling pads, it will get better cooling efficiency.

  • Power consumption

The energy efficiency varies with many evaporative air coolers. It’s best to ask your dealer what is the most energy-efficient type of evaporative air cooler, so it will have less negative environmental impact.

  • Variable speeds and mode of air

The energy efficiency varies with many evaporative air coolers. It’s best to ask your dealer what is the most energy-efficient type of evaporative air cooler, so it will have less negative environmental impact.

  • Capacity of the water tank

An evaporative cooling method is used by the air cooler fan. Water is converted into water vapor in this method, which reduces the temperature of the fan or blower blown air. Having air coolers with large water tanks is critical. The longer the water tank is running, the longer the air cooler. You need to choose an air cooler with a tank of water that is the right size for your daily use. A larger room with a larger tank would also require an air cooler. A wide range of water tank sizes come with both residential and commercial portable air coolers. Residential air coolers have tanks with a capacity of 20 to 30 liters and commercial air coolers with a capacity of 40 to 120 liters

  • Fan types

It is possible to connect evaporative air coolers with either a centrifugal fan or an axial fan. The centrifugal fan is drum-shaped and is usually quieter, but it consumes more cooling energy and costs more than the axial fan. On the other hand, the axial fan is less costly, uses less energy but is much more noisy.

  • Castors

Test the castors used by the fan of the air cooler. Some air coolers just use some simple plastic castors that can’t be used for a long time, particularly when you need to constantly move the air coolers. Choosing the coolers with heavy duty castors using thick rubber and strong metal materials is safer.
